What Homeowners Say
Scott H.
"Serenity did a great job on our patio. They came out sooner than I expected and the new space completely changed how we use the backyard."
Maria L.
"From the first design meeting we felt heard. The fire pit and seating wall are exactly what we pictured, and the crew left the site spotless every day."
Dave & Karen R.
"One team designed and built the whole outdoor kitchen, so there was a single point of accountability start to finish. Couldn’t be happier."
Fire Feature Design-Build
Can We Build What You're Imagining?
Most likely, yes! We design and build wood-burning fire pits, gas fire pits and fire tables, built-in outdoor fireplaces, and seating walls with fire, sized and placed to fit the patio around them. Our team plans the whole thing so the fire feature sits right, holds up to the heat, and becomes the spot everyone gathers.
If you're adding fire to a patio you already have or building a new space around it, we plan the base, the materials, and any gas or electrical so it all lines up with what's there and what's coming.

Wood-Burning Fire Pits
The classic. An open flame, the crackle, and the smell of a wood fire. Built in stone or paver to match your patio and sized for the group you host.
Gas Fire Pits & Fire Tables
Push-button fire with no smoke or ash, lit the moment you sit down and off when you head inside. A clean look that suits smaller patios and low-maintenance evenings.
Outdoor Fireplaces
A built-in fireplace anchors a patio like nothing else. It throws heat in one direction and gives you a wall for definition and privacy, the centerpiece of a proper outdoor room.
Seating Walls with Fire
A low wall that wraps the space, doubles as extra seating, and carries a built-in fire bowl or pit. Structure and warmth in one, without crowding the patio with furniture.

Why Serenity
Why Homeowners Choose Serenity Outdoors
We Start With the Base and the Grade
A built-in fireplace is heavy, and it needs a footing that won't settle or crack a season later. A fire pit still needs the patio around it to drain. We handle the base and the grade first, so the fire feature stays level and solid for years.
We Use One Designer from Beginning to End
Our team designs the space and stays on the project through the build. You're not handed from a salesperson to a crew that never saw the plan.
We Make It Easy to Build in Phases
A fire feature is often the piece that makes a patio feel finished, and it's just as often a later add. We design the whole space up front so the fire pit or fireplace drops into the plan cleanly whenever you build it.

A fire feature is what keeps the season going after the first cold nights arrive. We design and build the kind of fire pit or fireplace that turns an ordinary patio into the place your family remembers.

Still not sure about something? Give us a call, we'd rather talk it through than leave you guessing.
269-274-3947Should I choose a wood-burning or gas fire feature? +
It comes down to how you'll use it. Wood-burning gives you an open flame, the crackle, and the smell of woodsmoke, with a bit more setup and cleanup. Gas lights instantly, makes no smoke or ash, and suits smaller patios or anyone who wants fire without the work. We'll walk through both at the consultation.
Can you add a fire feature to a patio I already have? +
Often, yes. We'll look at the existing base, the material, and the layout to see what it can support and where the fire feature fits safely. Sometimes that means working with what's there, and sometimes it means rebuilding a section to do it right.
How late in the year can we use it? +
That's the point of a fire feature in Michigan. A good fire pit or fireplace pulls people outside well into fall and back out on the mild nights of winter and early spring. It adds weeks to your outdoor season on both ends.
Do you handle permits, gas lines, and clearances? +
Yes. We plan the safe clearances from the house and seating, use non-combustible materials where they're needed, and coordinate any gas or electrical work so it's done to code. You don't have to project-manage the trades.
Do you provide a free consultation? +
Yes. We meet at your home, look at the space, and talk through what you want the fire feature to do. From there, we put together a design and proposal.
